1432 Becomes a master in the Tournai painters’ guild on 1 August.
1435 Settles in Brussels, his wife’s native city. Makes investments in Tournai.
1436 Noted as being the city painter of Brussels. Rogier develops a large, prosperous workshop. Recorded as making investments in Brussels.
1445 The King of Castile, John II gives a triptych by ‘Magistro Rogel, magno & famoso Flandresco’ to the Charterhouse of Miraflores.
1449 It appears that Rogier was working for Leonello d’Este in Ferrara.
1450 Visits Rome for the Jubilee. A payment is made by Leonello d’Este to ‘excelenti … M. Rogerio’.
1455 Rogier becomes the administrator of a charitable infirmary in Brussels.
1462 Noted as being a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Cross in Brussels.
