1417 Giovanni receives payment for miniatures in a Book of Hours commissioned by a Milanese professor of law.
1420 Receives payments for two untraced paintings, both for religious houses in Siena. This suggests Giovanni is an established artist by this date.
Early 1420s Paints four altarpieces for S. Domenico, Siena.
1428 Joins the painters’ guild in Siena.
1438-44 Works on illustrations for Dante’s Divine Comedy.
1441 He is appointed the rector of the Sienese painters’ guild.
1449 Completes an altarpiece commissioned for the church of S. Maria della Scalla in Siena.
1463 Paints an altarpiece for the cathedral at Pienza.
1475 Produces his last dated work – an altarpiece for the church of S. Silvestro di Staggia in Siena.
1482 Dies in Siena.
